Magnificent mid century 'Wentworth' Afromosia Teak Sofa / Daybed by british furniture maker Toothil and sold through Harrods circa 1960, constructed from solid afromosia teak, the sofa transforms easily into a daybed with a simple up and over action to the back rest, a great feature of the design are the two adjustable sidetables located either end of the sofa ideal for drinks or remote controls, the moss green cushions sit beautifully on the solid afromosia frame with brass fitments to the adjustable back rest, raised perfectly on slim tapering legs, the sofa having recently been fully restored and re upholstered is offered is superb condition with new webbing.
Condition: excellent condition with no faults, there are no odours or smells, everything is as it should be, the back moves freely to transform the sofa into a daybed, the fabric is as new, very minor wear as to be expected for a piece approaching 70 years of age.
