Mid Century Danish design, extremely rare and signed limited edition pair of Hans J Wegner Model FH4283 ‘China’ Chairs, the elegant walnut frames with original untouched black leather buttoned cushions, signed, dated and numbered on an inserted metal plate FRITZ, HANSEN EFT A-S Hans J. Wegner 1977", makers label "MADE IN DENMARK 1978 BY FRITZ HANSEN" designed in 1944 for Fritz Hansen, Model FH4283, from an edition of 250 signed and numbered items Numbers: 233 & 234, this iconic and famous model was exhibited for the first time on the "Spring Exhibition of Danish Arts and Craft" in 1944, Wegner, Hans J. (Tondern 1914 - 2007 Copenhagen). 

Very good condition with traces of age and use, cushions in excellent original condition, not restored, excellent patina.
