Tomaso Buzzi a magnificent pair of rare and important Ferrara Burr Root Walnut Cabinets circa 1929, The rectangular top over arched and glazed brass panel doors with four gilt fronted adjustable shelves within, raised on a plinth base, both cabinets come apart in sections.
Condition: Offered in wonderful antique condition, both cabinets come with original working keys, the cabinets can be taken apart and de-constructed making moving much easier.
Born in Sondrio, Italy, Tomaso Buzzi (1900-1981), graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1923, and trained with Gio Ponti, who he became professional partners with. Before graduating, he had already associated himself with the Studio di Sant’Orsola group, which included Ponti, Michele Marelli and Emilio Lancia. The group shared Buzzi’s passionate interest in the revival of classical architecture and artistic craftsmanship, traits evident in the Novecento movement and in Milanese Deco.
Condition: Very good condition with only minor wear and age related marks.
