Erik Buch Bar & Stools for Dyrlund Denmark 1960’s
Magnificent Mid Century Danish dry bar by Erik Buch for Dyrlund Denmark 1960’s, the front side of the bar has a recessed white laminate accented shelf with a wonderful full width frontage with a long solid walnut and metal inlaid foot rail, the floating bar top surface is finished in a black vinyl material, the drinks side of the bar or the serving side has two drawers to the left and one deep drawer to the right, a recess area to the middle with a pull put out tray with a laminated top to mix drinks on, below there are two sliding doors to the left enclosing a single long shelf, to the right side there is are eight bottle spaces for holding wine, the bar comes with the original three bar stools each with padded seat, the stools are extremely comfortable and very beautiful in design, this whole set up is so cool and straight out of Don Drapers swanky pad in Mad Men.
Condition report: Please note this bar is extremely heavy and will require at least three to four strong people to move into place, the bar top or drinks counter has had a replacement vinyl covering added at some point in its life which is in very good condition, to the drinks side of the bar the facia is faded and has various drinks marks and stains that could probably be re polished to bring back the rosewood, the pull out drinks tray is a little stiff but will probably loosen with use, the drawer handles are replacements and there is a very tiny chip to the right hand drawer front , the front of the bar (seating area) is in pristine condition and the walnut has a beautiful deep grain and richness to it, the bar stools are all in excellent condition and just need a slight steam clean to bring the material back to its original beauty
