A substantial, tall and imposing mid-19th century Napoleon III French solid oak bibliotheque bookcase circa 1850, the upper section with overhanging heavily carved cornice over two glazed panel doors profusely carved and with pierced detail, two adjustable shelves within, flanked by carved barley twist supports, the lower section enclosed by two panel doors and two frieze drawers, flanked by carved barley twist supports raised on a plinth base, please note this piece comes in two sections making moving easier.
Condition report: The piece is offered in very good antique condition, as to be expected there are various age related knocks and marks, the doors and drawers all open and close smoothly, there is one working key and although there are three keys shown in the images to are for decorative purposes only, all three keys with tassels will be supplied, the piece is quite heavy and will require 2 - 3 strong people to move into place.
