Magnificent mid century Brazilian modern Jorge Zalszupin Onda Bench by L’atelier circa 1960, the elongated seating surface in richly figured Jacaranda is curved and moulded clearly defining two seats accentuating the wood's beautifully figured grain, to the side there is a softly draped leather magazine holder with two separated folders, raised on three polished metal supports, use either as a coffee table or bench, the bench has the original L’atelier label to the underside, use this piece either as a bench or coffee table, reserve now
Provenance: Private collection of Ms. Camila Gontijo, inherited from her grandparent José Gontijo who worked at the Brasilia Construction and acquired the bench in the 1970s
Condition: The bench is in good vintage condition and has been professionally restored, the bench was re glued, some screws exchanged that were damaged, the legs sanded and polished, the magazine rack was exchanged and replaced with new leather, tiny chip mark to seat, beautiful grain and wonderful patina.
