Magnificent French Industrial steel postal desk work station, produced by Régie Industrielle des Etablissements Pénitentiaire de Melun, (Industrial Board of Penitentiary Establishments of Melun), France circa 1920, the superstructure with a perforated steel back with an arrangement of thirty six pigeon holes above working desk area, with single drawer with cup handle and pull out swivelling oak topped stool, this desk dates to France1920s and would have been used originally in a French prison.
