Finn Ostergaard Albert Chair Model 4100 Danish Midcentury
Finn Østergaard ‘Albert' Series 4100 armchair and stool by Skipper Mobler designed in Denmark 1978, the high-backed frame made from moulded beech bentwood, upholstered in black woven fabric webbing, featuring adjustable neck cushion, upholstered in black wool, bearing makers stamp to both chair and matching foot stool "manufactured by Skipper Mobler A/S Durup 7870 Roslev, Made in Denmark", also featuring copper medallion stating "Original Serie 4100 Albert”.
Finn Østergaard was born in 1946 and graduated as furniture designer from the Furniture Department of the School of Arts and Crafts in 1975. But already one year before that he established his own design office, and has been self-employed ever since. Finn Østergaard primarily designs chairs, and in 1977-78 he drew the Albert chair, for which he got Bo Bedre's "Furniture Prize of the Year" the same year.
The chair and stool are offered in excellent used condition
