Original Charles & Ray Eames 670 Lounge Chair and matching 671 Ottoman in Black Ash with contrasting Nero black leather produced by Vitra in 2008, both the chair and ottoman are offered in excellent condition and aged to perfection.
Background: Charles & Ray Eames wanted their Lounge Chair and Ottoman to have the “warm receptive look of a well-used first baseman’s mitt.” A Playboy article on Modern Design explained that this chair sank the sitter into a voluptuous luxury that few mortals since Nero have known. The 670 Lounge Chair and 671 Ottoman can be seen in museum collections and designer homes across the globe, and it remains a symbol of luxurious comfort, this set dates to 2008 and was produced and stamped by Vitra.
Condition: The chair and ottoman are offered in superb condition, the leather is aged beautifully.
