A stunning antique Napoleon III marble topped mahogany commode chest of drawers, circa 1890, this chest dates to the late 19th century from the French Parisian Napoleon III period, the elegant white marble top over two drawers and three long drawers with brass escutcheons, the body of the chest with fine inlaid marquetry work all-over, all raised on shaped turned feet, ideal for the lounge, hallway, bathroom or bedroom, a sublime statement piece in every way.
Offered in good antique condition with age related wear, the marble top is in tact with no cracks or repairs, all drawers open and close smoothly, no odours or smells, no evidence of past or present woodworm, comes with three non working keys with tassels, wonderful patina.
